How it works

  1. 01

    Drop a photo

Drag it anywhere on the page, paste it from your clipboard, or browse for it. PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF and GIF all work.

  2. 02

    Adjust four numbers

Mat padding, corner radius, and a stack of strokes — each with a width and a colour. That is the whole model. Start from a preset and change what you like.

  3. 03

    Download the PNG

Full resolution, up to 8192 pixels on the longest edge. No watermark, no account, no export queue.

Why this exists

The frames that make Arabic and Islamic art feel finished are just a few concentric lines in the right proportions. Getting them right otherwise means opening a design tool, starting a new file, and nudging rectangles for twenty minutes.

Here it is four numbers and a colour. The presets are named recipes — Double Rule, Gilded Hairline, Heavy Band, Triple Thread — and every value in them stays editable the moment you apply one.

Nothing uploads

Itar has no backend. Your photo is decoded, framed and exported by your own browser, and it never leaves the device. There is no account to create, no server to trust, and nothing to delete afterwards — close the tab and the image is gone.

A frame is a link

The whole frame — padding, mat colour, radius, and every stroke — is encoded in the URL. Copy it and whoever opens it gets the same frame, ready for their own photo. No file to send, no export to share.

Questions

Does my photo get uploaded anywhere?
No. Itar has no server. Decoding, framing and export all happen in your browser.
Which file types work?
PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF and GIF. SVG is not supported, because it cannot be exported cleanly to a raster frame.
What resolution do I get back?
The original resolution, up to 8192 pixels on the longest edge. Anything larger is scaled to fit that limit, and Itar tells you when it does.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay.
Can I save a frame I like?
Copy the link. The full frame is encoded in the URL, so bookmarking it is the same as saving it.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Controls clear the 44-pixel touch target floor and the layout stacks below 1024 pixels.
